While
casinos and many shows cater to an adult audience, family entertainment
and recreational activities also abound within the city of Las Vegas as well as surrounding areas.
Natural wonders like Red Rock Canyon and the nearby Colorado River, and some man-made wonders
like Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, provide the settings for spectacular rock climbing,
fishing, camping, boating, hiking, horseback riding, camping, and river
rafting.
Throughout the area other activities like golf, miniature golf,
video arcades, go-karts, racing and sporting events, shows, museums and amusement parks
will pacify the kids (and the kids-at-heart.)
And don’t forget to check with your hotel of choice for amenities like pools and family-friendly
shows. (However please note that, in the state of Nevada, no one under
the age of 21 is permitted in or near gaming areas.)
