I Don't have Time to be Stressed!
Part XI
5. EMBRACE LIFE
Stop letting life pass you by. Have you always wanted to go back to school? Try a night course. Want to learn martial arts? Try a beginner's course. Always wanted to be an actor? Try community theater.
Most of us go through life trying so hard to do what is right that we forget to do what is right for US. Every one of us entered adulthood with our own special dreams and ambitions. Revisit that person and find those dreams. Some of them may now seem stupid but, most people don't regret the dreams that they follow - only those that they let fade.
Live your life... enjoy your days. Having just seen the passing of Ashley, an 18 year old friend, in a senseless automobile accident I am once again hit with the realization that life is short and uncertain. But, the way she lived her life is a lesson to all who knew her, as well as to those of you who did not:
Love those around you;
Pursue what you want;
Strive for excellence in all you do but realize that you are more than what you do;
Play like a child.
So now you have the tools to live your life as you were meant to. It's up to you to decide whether you will just "exist" or "live." And while changing old habits can be difficult keep in mind, as you go through your days, that no one is ever remembered for how much overtime they put in, or how clean their house is, or how well-manicured their yard. They are remembered for the way they connect with, and touch, the world and people around them.
