Prevent Red Lights

Rest when needed. Unless there’s something about you that’s really, really different than every other human on the face of the planet you do not - let me repeat that YOU DO NOT - come equipped with red hazard lights that go on when you’re overheated or in need of other maintenance. That means you need to be reasonable and rest your body BEFORE it breaks down! Now I know the workaholic in you is thinking about all of the projects that need to get done. But in order to keep your machine operating at peak efficiency you need to rest it at regular intervals. That means taking breaks from your work (whether that be at home, school or in an office,) leaving on time and, generally, just taking mental and physical steps away from all things work related and letting your brain and body cool down. You’ll be surprised how much more efficient is a refreshed (or well-maintained) brain/body.

And there you have it: eat right, exercise and rest. Easy right? Well it should be but for most of us, knowing that is not even half of the battle. We now need need to arm ourselves with little tricks and strategies.
